Facial Rejuvenation and Cosmetic Acupuncture I am trained in both the Mei-Zen system of Cosmetic Acupuncture and in Facial Rejuvenation utilizing a form of microcurrent stimulation that is so gently you don't even feel the electricity. It is part of my Zero-Needle Acupuncture Technique, to tonify the muscles of the face that have lost some of their tone and that can make the wrinkles worse. To tonify those muscles can reduce the wrinkles and since there is no trauma to the skin there are never complications like bruising that can sometimes occur with needles. I work with several estheticians to provide you with a complete package of care that is designed not just to meet but to exceed your skin care goals. This type treatment does not work in a single treatment but works as a system combining the specialized skills of an esthetician with the skills of a doctor trained and certified in Acupuncture as well as physiotherapy modalities like the microcurrent stimulator I use for Facial Rejuvenation. It will involve 8-12 visits to my office as well as 2 visits to one of our estheticians. This happens over a 4-6 week period so let us get started a couple of months before that "special event" that you may be thinking about. Possibly, depending on you and your individual goals an ongoing maintenance care program might be in order. Maintenance visits are done at a very reduced rate to encourage your follow up and continued referrals.
